Upon passing the state required exam, you will be qualified to make application to the state to obtain your contractor’s license. The BC-A,b will allow you to construct, remodel, repair, or improve 1, 2, 3, or 4 family unit residences not exceeding 3 stories in height and accessory use structures, as well as commercial construction up to $1,000,000 total cost per job. NOTE: A Tennessee state contractor’s license is required for jobs over $25,000. When you purchase this bundle of exams, you will receive access to more than 250 questions. Each practice exam is multiple choice. This series of exams is based on the 2012 International Building Code Book.
As you will notice from the title of the exams, there is a practice exam for each important chapter from this code book. There are some chapters that are not covered simply because they are not part of the state test subject matter. Mastering the art of finding the answer to any code question is critical in passing your state exam. Knowing this become and becoming very familiar with the layout of the book is critical. If you will take the time to answer questions based on each chapter, you will certainly gain the knowledge of content associated with each chapter which in the end, increases your familiarity with this book significantly.
By the time you take the Comprehensive exam where you experience a mix of questions from all chapters in the code book, you should have a much better understanding of where to look for each question. You are encouraged to treat each practice exam and each question as if you are taking the actual state required exam.
